Solved power point can't perform language identification

I upgraded from Office XP Pro lớn Office 2010 Standard, & Im on a computer running Win XP Pro SP3. Now, when I try to xuất hiện a ppt document yên getting the following error:

Microsoft PowerPoint cant perform language identification

This feature is not available. To make this feature available, run thiết lập again, click add or Remove Features, và change the feature to lớn "Run from My Computer".

Ive reran the setup, but cannot find the term "language identification" in any of the features that are not installed. Ive tried googling, but found no good answer, so lặng turning to the Spiceheads for help.

Go lớn File/Options, and kiểm tra the Language menu, be sure the defaults are correct for your setup:Mine is:English (US) for keyboard layoutMatch Microsoft Windows as 1, & English as 2 in Display Language và Help Language.

Uninstall/reinstall?

Upgrading from a previous version? If so might want lớn try và run Windows cleanup utility.

hmmm...I was hoping there was just a feature I missed installing because I went with the defaults.

Normally youre pretty on target with your answers Jay, but yên going to lớn hold off on uninstalling anything until I get a few more responses. But, it may be what I have khổng lồ do.

well I feel lượt thích one of my users now. We always tell them lớn pull the attachment off the e-mail message before you try to open it. Once I did that myself, the document opened without any messages. Sorry for the DUH moment.
